Decoupage Upcycled Maple Jar
I promised my husband I had the perfect project for this maple jar....like 6 months ago😆 Luckily he knows I get around to it eventually and didn't toss it!
SUPPLIES
Any glass jar you want to use- prep by cleaning and removing the label and gunk.
For this project I used the PRAISE napkin from our decoupage napkins.
I painted the glass jar first in White Paint (this is the kind I love using- it coats well and dries quickly).
Next I used the decoupage tearing method to edge around the part of the design I wanted to feature and attached with mod podge. (Make sure you also separate the ply of the napkin so that you only get the top layer).
Center the design and apply using the mod podge while gently smoothing out the design from the middle out with a gallon zip log bag (or saran wrap).
TIP: Don't go over the design too many times or the ink may start to smear
Lastly I added some wrapped some jute twine around the top and tied a simple bow.
You could also add some burlap flowers, wooden beads, and so much more to put your own touch on it.
If you try this project I'd love to see it! Tag @christiancraftpaper and I may feature your creation!
